A Debt Story

Ever watch The Learning Channel (TLC)? They are the ones with reality shows like A Makeover Story, Perfect Proposal, A Wedding Story and A Baby Story. What you're not likely to see on TLC is A Debt Story. It's the story of Tom, a recent college graduate who found himself in debt up to his eyeballs three years after graduation. Tom's dilemma began when he graduated with a business degree. He had high expectations for himself. He didn't expect to start at the top of any company, but he would surely become a vice president within a year of being hired. Until then, he thought he would surely be making a high salary because of his degree.

Tom was wrong. After turning down a number of entry-level jobs with entry-level salaries, he finally accepted one, still under the delusion that he'd be promoted to VP within a year. This delusion caused him to spend more than he could truly afford. He bought expensive clothes and expensive furniture for his new apartment, and when he went out with his friends, he'd use his credit card to cover his part of the bill. Sometimes he'd even treat!

Three years later, Tom had been promoted, but he was nowhere close to being a vice president, or the three-figure salary he thought he surely deserved, being so educated and all. Plus, he was finding it hard to make ends meet. His was finding it difficult to pay more than the monthly minimum on his credit cards, and he was on the verge of missing payments because by the time he paid all of his monthly expenses, he only had $20 for two weeks. Plus, he was close to being maxed out on his cards. Besides, spending more would just make his minimums go up. His social life began to suffer, and he couldn't afford groceries or gas.

Tom was desperate. So one day at work, he searched the Internet for debt services. The result was pages and pages of companies offering debt services, debt relief services and debt recovery services. He wasn't sure who to choose or how to choose, and then he found Debt Consolidation Explained, where he learned that the best way to find reliable debt services and Christian debt services was to complete the secure, online forms offered by many of these companies. He learned that the information on these forms helps debt counselors assess each individual's financial situation so they can make the best recommendations possible regarding how they can get out of debt. He learned to compare and contrast these recommendations so that he could make the most informed decision about which company to choose.

And choose he did. Tom emerged as a winner in the debt game due to consumer debt services . He also found a better-paying job. And now Tom is a happy camper because he smoothed out all his debt options.
